Wines >100 CHF: Last month I organised a blind tasting of wines that sells between 100 CHF and 150 CHF.

The colour is medium garnet. On the nose herbal notes, such as oregano and anise, and a hint of strawberries. In the mouth at first gripping tannins that leave the mouth dry and with a bitter finish. With some air the wine becomes smoother and more savoury. No aftertaste worth mentioning.
The colour is deep ruby. On the nose sumptuous and fruity, with plums, blackberries, and dark chocolate. In the mouth enjoyable, but without the structure you would expect from a single-varietal Cab. The finish is pleasantly fruity, although the aftertaste doesn’t last long.
The colour is deep ruby. On the nose red fruits: strawberries, raspberries and cherries. In the mouth the same fruits are perceived. The acidity is pronounced, as it is typical for Barbera based wines. The aftertaste doesn’t last long.
