Le Colombare 2020

The colour is medium gold. On the nose almonds, dried apricot, candied lime-peel and saffron. In the mouth sweet with a balancing acidity. For the kind of wine, the aftertaste is rather short.

Le Colombare is made with 100% Garganega grapes by Pieropan winery in Soave, one of the only two municipalities that constitute the “Classico” sub-zone of the Recioto di Soave DOCG (the other is Monteforte d’Alpone). Continue reading “Le Colombare 2020”

Costa del Salmino 2015

The colour is deep garnet. On the nose cherries and floral notes of roses and lavender. In the mouth, at first rather harsh, with drying tannins. The aftertaste is pretty long.

This wine is made by Rovellotti winery with 90% Nebbiolo and 10% Vespolina grapes under the Ghemme DOCG of Piedmont, in northwestern Italy. Continue reading “Costa del Salmino 2015”
