The colour is deep purple. On the nose strawberries, raspberries, banana and chocolate. In the mouth savoury, with a good structure and a pretty long aftertaste.
This Sicilian wine is made by Cantina Cellaro with Nero d’Avola and Nerello Mascalese grapes.

The colour is medium gold. The perlage is very subtle, almost fading. On the nose not much. The same in the mouth. At the entrance there is a disturbing effervescence, followed by marked acidity.

The colour is medium straw. On the nose melon, almond and ray. In the mouth refreshing but void of flavour. No aftertaste worth mentioning.
This white wine is made with Erbaluce grapes by Rovellotti winery, under the Colline Novaresi DOC.

The colour is medium ruby. On the nose at first raw meat, later some black tea and smoky notes. In the mouth light, without neither much savour, nor an aftertaste worth mentioning.

The colour is medium yellow. On the nose white peaches, jasmine tea, chamomile, and some citrus. In the mouth refreshing, with a saline finish. The aftertaste doesn’t last long.
This wine is made by Sella & Mosca with 100% Torbato grapes under the Alghero DOC.

The colour is pale straw. On the nose papaya, grapefruit, and green tea. In the mouth a pronounced acidity and a citrusy aftertaste that last for a while.

The colour is medium straw. The perlage is delicate. On the nose a hint of Danish pastry, with some apples and pears. In the mouth not much, beside the bubbly sensation. No aftertaste worth mentioning neither.

The colour is deep ruby. Not much neither on the nose, where I barely detect some sour cherries, nor in the mouth, where I feel drying tannins and a bitter finish. The aftertaste is short.
Le Difese is made by Tenuta San Guido, the producer of the famous Sassicaia, first produced with the 1968 vintage. Le Difese is the third wine of the estate, first produced with the 2002 vintage. The colour is deep ruby. Already from the first sight the wine appears thick. An impression that is confirmed by the other senses as well. On the nose it reminds me of a Port wine. Among other aromas I can detect blackberry, caramel and chocolate, a lot of chocolate. In the mouth the wine is succulent. The aftertaste is again similar to a Port and last for a very long time. This wine is very rich, for my taste too rich. It is a wine that gives me more the sensation of eating than drinking. After swallowing it I almost feel like drinking some water. The colour is medium garnet. On the nose very light aroma of red fruits: cherries with some strawberries and raspberries. In the mouth similar to a canoe: close to water. No aftertaste worth mentioning.
