The colour is medium garnet. On the nose mushrooms, cherries and stewed plums. In the mouth good acidity, but not much else. The aftertaste is rather short.

Last month I decided to do something different and to organise a blind tasting of wines that sells for less than 30 CHF.
The colour is medium garnet and a bit cloudy. On the nose sour cherries and some earthy notes. In the mouth fresh and at first a bit prickly. The finish is abrupt, but later some fruity flavours come back and stay for a little.
Who would expect a Beaujolais, even a Cru, to still be fresh and highly enjoyable after 10 years?
