This red wine is made under the Tacoronte-Acentejo DO, the oldest Denominación de Origen of the Canary Islands. Established in 1992, nowadays this DO accounts for one fifth of the wine production of the Canary Islands. This white wine is made with Malvasía Volcánica grapes by Vega de Yuco in Lanzarote, the easternmost DO within the Spanish Canary Islands.

The colour is pitch black. The texture very dense, almost solid. On the nose scents of burnt sugar, toffee, bitter orange marmalade, and balsamic notes. In the mouth thick, velvety, and very sweet. The aftertaste is long, although less tasty than I was expecting.

The colour is deep ruby. On the nose blackberries and black cherries (from the grapes), and vanilla and spices (from the oak). In the mouth grippy tannins that leave the mouth dry. The aftertaste is rather short.

The colour is medium purple. On the nose artificial cranberry. In the mouth artificial red fruits kind of flavours. The aftertaste is very short (fortunately).
Overall, a horrible experience!

The colour is medium ruby. On the nose cherries, plumbs, marzipan. In the mouth elegant, soft tannins and medium acidity. The aftertaste is fruity, while at the same time reminding of cocoa. It last for quite a while.

The colour is deep brown. On the nose mainly spices, a lot of them! It is like walking in a bazar in the Middle East, and at the same time in a cigar factory in Cuba. In the mouth very thick, velvety and savoury. On the finish coffee and chocolate that last for a very, very long aftertaste.
