The colour is deep purple, almost black. On the nose very fruity, fruit berries, with a dominance of cassis. In the mouth smooth and fruity, with some chocolate. The aftertaste is pleasant, but rather short.

Last week I hosted a wine tasting event at my home. Three other wine enthusiasts joined me to taste blindly four Syrah/Shiraz based wines.
Complex nose of liquorice, black olive, ripe plum, mocha and dark cherries. In the mouth full, rich and dense. The flavour is dominated by dark cherries and chocolate, which last through the long aftertaste. Overall, I find this wine hedonistically very pleasant.
On the nose, at first simpler than I expected, with spices prevailing over the black fruits flavours. Menthol and balsamic notes come forward and predominate the first impression. After a while, plumb and blackberries aromas come more to the stage and after one hour dominates.
