The colour is dark garnet. On the nose cherries, elderberries, cedar, tobacco. In the mouth good structure, with well-integrated tannins and a fruity finish. The aftertaste last for a good while.
Elixir is part of Lux Vina, the premium line of Domaines Chevaliers winery. The vineyards are located between Salgesch and Chamoson in the Valais canton of Switzerland. The colour is pale straw. On the nose citrus, green apple, resin. In the mouth light, fresh and mineral. The aftertaste is rather short.
The Rèze is an ancient indigenous grape of Valais that has become a rarity. It is considered a par excellence high-Alpine grape variety. Around 1920, almost all vineyards of Valais fell victim to the American phylloxera pest. Prior to the phylloxera pandemic, Rèze was very common. The colour is medium yellow. On the nose nuts, apple, ananas, citrus and banana. In the mouth delicate and balanced, with an orange zest taste that lingers on the palate for a while.

The colour is deep ruby. On the nose sour-cherries, cinnamon, toffee and smoky notes. In the mouth fresh, with a good structure. The taste is mainly of chocolate and the aftertaste is medium long.

The colour is transparent with slightly greenish reflex. On the nose mainly anice and liquorice, which are clearly perceived also in the mouth. Very hot, due to the high alcohol content (72%). The aftertaste is savoury and pleasant. It last for a long time. When water is added (as it should), the colour becomes a cloudy milky white, the flavours more nuanced and the alcohol less prominent.
