Tasting Notes of Wines around the World
The colour is medium gold. The aroma is a mix of citrus and peanuts, accompanied by a prickly sensation. In the mouth the wine is as rich and tasty as on the nose, with a very pleasant finish and a long aftertaste that reminds the first impressions recorded with the nose.

The colour is medium yellow. On the nose very intense, with a sweet sensation of peach and honey, accompanied by toasty elements. In the mouth very tasty and interesting, reminding of a crème brûlée, with a long lasting aftertaste that recalls tawny Port. Continue reading “Can Sala 2007”
Either due to the strong breeze of Châtelaillon-Plage, where I tasted this wine, or as a result of the fact that my son got a small sip before me and left some potato chips flavour on the glass, I had some problems distinguishing the aroma of this Chardonnay. I therefore cannot tell which ones of the typical scents of this well-known grape was predominant: if it was the tropical side of banana, melon, pineapple and guava, the stonefruits côté of peach, nectarine and apricot, or the omnipresent citrus and apple aroma. The colour is greenish yellow. The nose is refreshing, with mild notes of menthol accompanying white peaches, lime and some nutty undertones. In the mouth crispy, well-balanced and tasty, with an aftertaste that linger for a long while and is characterised by a hint of fennel.

The colour is medium garnet. On the nose a bouquet of eucalyptus, tobacco, menthol and balsamic notes. In the mouth pleasantly lighter and fruitier than I was expecting, well balanced and with a savoury finish that let be enjoyed for quite a while.
This wine, named X, is as eclectic and unique as its producer. It is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Carminoir, Arinarnoa, Syrah and Merlot. Made out of three vintages: 2010, 2011 and 2013. Continue reading “X”
Kerner della Valle Isarco 2018: This white wine displays a medium straw colour. On the nose the aroma is dominated by pear, although apple and citrus can also by detected. In the mouth the wine is well balanced, with a refreshing aromaticity that last for a satisfying while. This wine displays a pale salmon colour. On the nose cantaloupe, watermelon and pears, among other fruits, can be detected. In the mouth refreshing, with a medium acidity and a pleasant taste that stays for a short while. Although it doesn’t give any revealing sensations, this wine is well balanced and definitely an enjoyable summer drink. Continue reading “Côte des roses 2017”
This white wine presents itself with a medium gold colour and a perfumed nose, characterised by tropical fruits like mango and ananas, sweet spices such as cinnamon and ginger, and rose petals. Once in the mouth, the wine gives a velvety sensation of opulence. Despite the low acidy, the mouth is left salivating and the pleasantly sweet aftertaste linger for quite a while. Visually this wine displays a shiny medium garnet color. On the nose at first a bit dusty. The main sensations are of old, slightly burned wood and tea leaves. With time it shows a tiny bit of complexity.
