On the nose at first kind of prickly, with herbs and spices dominating the aroma. Among them anise and eucalyptus. With some air, red cherry fruit and liquorice come forward and the sensation get smoother.

On the nose, the first impression is of very ripe fruits. A bit more in the back and coming forward with some aeration, are peppery spices and dry meat aromas, which nicely complements the plums flavour. Overall a rich and pleasant experience.
Seductive and sophisticated bouquet of forest floor, earth, eucalyptus, mushrooms and some strawberries. Overall a very nice aromatic complexity. (On a bit less poetic tone: at first it did remind me of cola.)
On the nose a nice aroma of ripe/under spirit fruits, complemented by herbs, liquorice and tobacco notes. In the mouth a bit rough, due to the prickly tannins. A nice contrast to the sweet olfactory sensations. The aftertaste is drying, a bit bitter and, considering the overall experience, a little anticlimactic.
The brilliant color strongly recalls black cherries.
On the nose very elegant, with perfume like aromas leaning towards soy sauce and floral fragrances. In the mouth a smoky note clearly predominates, accompanied by a burning sensation (due to the high alcohol) and followed by an herbaceous astringent one. The liquor leaves you with a long and pleasant finish, that last forever and that is again dominated by a smoky note.
On the nose cottage cheese and butterscotch. After a while the eucalyptus note typical of this wine also shows up.
Aroma of tobacco, nuts and black cherry, with balsamic notes. Very subtle, both on the nose and in the mouth, where the wine is very fresh, elegant and refined from the beginning to the end. The silky tannins leave your mouth with a clear sensation of having cleaned it.
Is one of those Italian cult wines that own a lot to the fact of having been the first using a grape variety not traditional to the territory, and of having produced a legendary vintage.
Not everybody may be aware of the fact that this well-known Château also produce a white wine. The only one among the four Médoc’s Premier Crus.
