Tasting Notes of Wines around the World
The colour is deep garnet. On the nose blood and alcohol (my blood type đ). In the mouth tannins and alcohol. The aftertaste is very short (fortunately). This wine is barely drinkable, and I decided not to drink it.

The colour is medium garnet. On the nose prunes, blueberries and meat. In the mouth light, but well balanced and still pleasant to drink. The aftertaste is medium long.
This wine is a blend of 60% Avgoustiatis and 40% Mourvedre grapes. Avgoustiatis is a little-known red wine grape variety found scattered around the Greek islands (most notably on Zakynthos) and the Peloponnese peninsula. The colour is medium ruby. On the nose cherries, plumbs, marzipan. In the mouth elegant, soft tannins and medium acidity. The aftertaste is fruity, while at the same time reminding of cocoa. It last for quite a while.
This wine is made with 100% tempranillo grapes by Bodegas Emilio Moro under the Ribera del Duero DO. It is the flagship wine of the winery. It is aged in 50% in French and 50% in American oak. Continue reading “Emilio Moro 2018”
The colour is deep ruby. On the nose cherries and lawn. In the mouth not much body, but a pleasantly sour and drying finish. The kind of wine that pairs well with greasy dishes. The aftertaste doesnât last long.
Naigartèn is a natural wine made by Gradizzolo winery in Monteveglio on the hills near Bologna. Before release, it is aged 12 months in big oak barrels and 6 months in bottle. It is made with 100% Negrettino grapes. Continue reading “Naigartèn 2019”
The colour is deep garnet. Complex nose of raw meat, plumbs, rosemary, burned wood, baking spices. In the mouth fresh, fine tannins, well balanced and savoury. The aftertaste last for quite a while.
It is a wine that with time keeps evolving: a delight to drink!

The colour is medium purple. On the nose black cherries, blackberries and green bell pepper. In the mouth well structured and balanced. The aftertaste is medium long.

The colour is deep garnet. Still very lively. On the nose forest floor, cigar box, fireplace, caramel, spices. In the mouth well balanced, with a good structure. Bright acidity and tannins that are well integrated, but still showing off. The aftertaste is savoury and medium long.

The colour is deep ruby. On the nose cassis, tomato sauce and herbs. In the mouth a bit too much acidity and tannins. The aftertaste is medium long, but not very tasty.

The colour is deep ruby. On the nose cherries soaked in alcohol, with the addition of nutmeg, cinnamon, tobacco and cacao. In the mouth dense, rich and fruity. The aftertaste lasts for a while.
